(Project description follows below)

Near the only point of the prefecture of Heraklion with a westward view to the sea is the village of Listaros. Listaros is near Matala, at Tympaki, in Sivas, and in Moires. The plot is located on the south side of the village, at the highest point in the village, at an elevation of 235m. The plot overlooks the village to the northwest, and “turns its back” to the hills to the southeast.

In the summer months the sun sets in the sea between the islands of Paximadia and the coast of Agios Pavlos, while in the winter months the sun rises and sets behind the hills to the south of the plot.

The main view from the plot opens from the Paximadia islands in the west to mount Psiloritis in north.

The blending of indoor and outdoor spaces provides both shelter and privacy, and bringing life to both the houses and the
landscape, merging them into the entire place we call “home”.
